Midterm Grades

  • What would you prefer?
    • Everyone get J’s
    • A/B/C/D (no +/-) based on information I have at this time

Brainstorming Activity

In the back of your brain, start thinking about project ideas.

Each of you will generate 2-3 ideas.

Next Tuesday night, you’ll submit those ideas to Moodle.

Midterm Revisions

Part 1

For each problem I marked with an X,

  • write a more correct answer and 1 sentence description of why that is a more correct answer (maybe why the original answer wasn’t correct).

Work in groups; help each other understand the WHY.

Turn into me today when you are done.

Midterm Revisions

Part 2

  • Keep the questions for Part 2.

  • Talk through some of the stumbling blocks with your group members. Take notes for yourself.

  • By the end of next week, submit an updated version of the Midterm Part 2 and write a reflection about the midterm in your spreadsheet.

My Deal: You may talk to others in the class (not preceptors, not people who have previously taken it) but you may not directly share code with each other. Instead, talk about the actions more conceptually and point each other to resources.

Fall Break

  • No class on Friday
  • No course work is urgent enough to have to do over break
    • If you want to use that time to work on Midterm Part 2, fine.
    • If you’d like to write out your ideas for a project, fine.
    • If you want to use that time to take a break, do that.
  • I will be without Wi-Fi from Thursday - Sunday, so I’ll respond to any questions/concerns on Monday.
